Sports Up-Date
In the autumn term, we have taken part in a number of sports competitions, including Girls Football, Tag Rugby and Cross Country.
We also have an internal school competition between each of the four houses that are sports teacher, Mr Clegg runs with us.
Our pupil leadership roles are very important to us at Markyate Village School. Our Year 6 Sport Captains are fully involved in school life and lead or take part in many school events.
In the Autumn Term, our Prefects and Ambassadors provided the following up-date to parents and the school community:
Year 6 Sports Captains End of Term Report We have really enjoyed taking part in sports competitions again this term with other schools. We have seen some of our teams grow, such as the girls’ football team that started with just 2 players and then ended up with a big team that practices every week on the muddy field! All our teams have played really well, showing great teamwork and sportsmanship. Next Term we are looking forward to:
- More competitions that we can be involved in
- More school clubs we can run, including sports clubs for KS1 children
- Warmer weather!
